Opposition Not Only Excluded from Political Agenda but Also Crossed Moral Boundaries, Khudatyan

The electoral atmosphere in Vagarshapat has largely been shaped by the opposition. This was stated by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Davit Khudatyan, during a public radio broadcast.

“First, they artificially heated the atmosphere by spreading videos generated by artificial intelligence, which often crossed moral boundaries. They even referred to the heroic father of Argishti Mekhakyan, Mekhak Mekhakyan. I believe the election results were the response of the people of Vagarshapat to these actions, because in many places the opposition wasn’t just absent from the political agenda but also crossed moral lines. Unfortunately, we witnessed many such cases,” Khudatyan said.

“In Mr. Mekhakyan’s village, for instance, where the opposition was clearly provoking on the campaign day—especially ‘Mother Armenia’—the residents of the village, from where the hero Mekhak Mekhakyan hails, referred to Mr. Argishti Mekhakyan as a denier and a traitor. Ninety percent of the village's inhabitants showed how they truly feel about both hero Mekhak Mekhakyan and Argishti Mekhakyan, as well as their families, and the ruling party in general,” Khudatyan added.
