Situation in Vagharshapat: NSS Representative Provides Details
As of 16:00, we have issued 51 certificates for inclusion in the additional electoral lists, which means they are intended for all those who have the right to vote but have been excluded from the previously formed electoral lists for various reasons. This was stated by Nelly Davtyan, the head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in a conversation with reporters. She added that these certificates allow individuals to be included in the additional electoral lists.
"We have citizens with the right to vote and other individuals with different legal statuses whose documents have expired. Specifically, for Armenian citizens, we have issued 45 certificates. We provide a replacement document that individuals can use to exercise their right to vote," she noted.
Davtyan also mentioned that advisory services are being offered to citizens. "Many people approach us and say that they have discovered a name, surname of a person they do not know at their home address. They ask for removal from the registry or request clarification on the issue," added the head of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Nelly Davtyan highlighted that there is no Indian citizen eligible to participate in this election. Among the 573 foreigners, 532 are citizens of Russia, 16 from Georgia, and around 10 from Iran and Ukraine.
