US Proposes to Divide Gaza into Zones

The US Central Command has developed a plan for the Gaza Strip that involves the division of the enclave. One part will be controlled by Israel, while the other will be under the supervision of Palestinian groups, according to the British newspaper The Guardian.

According to the paper, the 'Green Zone' in eastern Gaza, which is under Israeli and international military control, will be reconstructed, while the 'Red Zone' will remain as it is. Journalists note that Washington intends to encourage Palestinians who continue to live in the 'Red Zone' after the ceasefire to relocate to the 'Green Zone.'
