VIDEO: Saakashvili's Party Office Attacked
The central office of the largest opposition party, the "United National Movement," was attacked in Tbilisi last night. This was stated in a press release by the party, founded by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is currently serving a prison sentence.
Opposition members claim that around 100 individuals participated in the attack, vandalizing the office's walls. "The vandalism lasted for about half an hour. The facade of the office building was damaged, and windows were broken. This is the response from the authorities, who are in a state of despair, toward the 'United National Movement' for defending Georgia's interests and supporting the Georgian people," the statement from the UNM reads.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has not yet commented on the opposition party's statement regarding the attack on the office.
