Scientists Discover Shelters on Mars

Chinese scientists have announced the discovery of a new type of cave on Mars that could serve as a potential shelter for ancient life forms. A research team from Shenzhen University has identified eight objects in the Hebrus Valley on Mars, which are water-formed karst cavities.

The researchers believe that these cavities were not formed by volcanic or tectonic processes, but rather by the effects of melted or flowing water. Experts analyzed 3D models that showed the structure and formation of these entrances correspond to the impacts of highly saturated water flows.

Scientists note that such caves could provide protection for microorganisms from radiation and extreme climatic conditions.
