Zakharova Comments on Ukrainian Side's Statement on Suspension of Peace Talks

Kiev has acknowledged its indifference towards peace, stated Maria Zakharova, representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, while commenting on the Ukrainian side's announcement regarding the suspension of peace negotiations.

"Reports in British and Ukrainian media about Kiev's cessation of negotiations with Russia indicate a lack of commitment to peace. This is a confession that Zelensky had no intention of showing any genuine gestures towards peace," she told Izvestia.

Earlier, Kiev announced that peace talks with Russia were halted until the end of the year due to a "lack of progress."
