Russia Reports Destruction of 22 Ukrainian Drones

Russian air defense systems have destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones in its territory during the night. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, some of the drones were shot down in the southern and central regions of the country.

"Eight drones were destroyed in the Rostov region, four in the Stavropol region, three each in the Oryol and Bryansk regions, two drones in the Tula region, and one each in the Kaluga region and the Moscow area," the ministry's statement said.

It is noteworthy that hostilities between Ukraine and Russia have continued since February 24, 2022, when Vladimir Putin announced the start of a "special military operation" in response to requests for assistance from the LPR and DPR. Ukrainian forces have been regularly striking border regions of Russia, also using drones. The attacks have mainly been recorded in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, and Voronezh regions.
