US Has Yet to Clarify Trump's Comments on Nuclear Testing, Peskov Says

Moscow has not yet received clarifications from Washington regarding U.S. President Donald Trump's statements about nuclear testing, said Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

Trump had previously stated that he has instructed the Pentagon to immediately resume nuclear weapon tests, referring to the fact that some other countries are already doing so. He did not elaborate on what tests he was referring to or whether this includes the detonation of nuclear warheads.

Peskov emphasized that neither Russia nor China has resumed any nuclear testing and that both countries remain committed to their obligations in this area. He noted that Moscow is awaiting clarification from Washington.
