US Lifts Sanctions Against Syria
The US Department of the Treasury has announced that it is suspending sanctions against Syria under the "Caesar" Act, according to Reuters.
According to the Treasury Department, the suspension pertains to certain transactions, except for specific dealings related to Russia and Iran.
Previously, the UN Security Council lifted the terrorism-related sanctions on Shaar and his Minister of Internal Affairs, Anas Khattab. The resolution was drafted by the United States.
