Two Passenger Trains Collide in Slovakia, Dozens Injured
A major railway accident occurred in Slovakia when the Tatran 620 and Rex 1814 passenger trains collided between Bratislava and Pezinok. According to the country's Ministry of Interior, approximately 800 passengers were on board the trains at the time of the incident. Preliminary reports indicate that the collision happened when one train crashed into the rear of the other.
Fortunately, there have been no fatalities; however, dozens of people sustained injuries of varying degrees. Among the injured, 11 individuals have been transported to hospitals.
Law enforcement agencies and rescue services continue to work at the scene to determine all the circumstances surrounding the accident.
