Management of Artsakh Citizens' Pension Fund Transferred to Armenian Government
The management of the accumulated pension funds of Artsakh citizens has been transferred to the Armenian government. This was reported to ABC Media by lawyer Arsen Sarajyan, who emphasized that the decision was made without discussions with the citizens.
According to him, the Parliament of Artsakh had proposed to allocate the funds to the residents to address current issues, but the Armenian government did not accept this proposal. Sarajyan also noted that the Constitutional Court had refused to consider the application on this matter.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia reports that individuals forcibly displaced from Artsakh can benefit from the pension system under the same conditions as Armenian citizens, including those with temporary refugee status.
Earlier, the Artsakh information headquarters reported that attempts to return the accumulated funds to citizens' bank accounts have been rejected.
