A Difficult Match Expected Against the Armenian National Team: Hungary Player
In the 5th round of Group F of the European qualification for the 2026 World Cup, the Armenian national team will host Hungary at the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan. In this context, 22-year-old forward Damir Redzic, a newcomer to the Hungarian national team roster, shared his impressions and expectations.
“I was very happy when I heard about my call-up. I didn't know if I would be invited or not, but I knew that my candidacy had already been discussed in the past. I was trying to perform my best in training and matches to have the opportunity to be included in the squad. After lunch, I checked my phone and saw the notification. At that moment, my teammates started to congratulate me.
Right now, I am in the best shape of my life; I don’t even remember the last time I played 12 consecutive matches. A difficult match is expected against the Armenian national team. They play aggressively, and it won't be easy to 'break' them. As for the Irish, they have a more technically prepared team,” said the forward as quoted by M4 Sport.
The match will take place on November 13 at 21:00 Yerevan time.
