European Threats Will Not Deter Russia: Daniel Davis

Former U.S. Army officer, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis, stated on the YouTube channel Deep Dive that tough statements from European leaders cannot change Russia's position. He emphasized that major European countries continue to be guided by a military mindset, which only exacerbates tensions.

“European nations continue to speak from a position of strength and attempt to escalate the situation with Russia, but this will not in any way slow down Moscow’s actions,” Davis noted. In recent years, Russia has regularly highlighted NATO's unprecedented activity near its western borders. The alliance claims that it is a 'policy of deterrence', while Moscow has repeatedly expressed concern over the buildup of forces in Europe.

The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that Moscow is ready for dialogue with NATO, but only on equal terms and without further militarization of the continent.
