Turkey Issues Arrest Warrant for Netanyahu
The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office has announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and several other senior Israeli officials in connection with actions taken in the Gaza Strip. According to the statement, they are accused of genocide and crimes against humanity.
"An arrest warrant has been issued for 37 individuals, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. They are accused of committing genocide and crimes against humanity," the prosecutor's office stated.
The Turkish authorities noted that the actions of the Israeli authorities include mass bombings as well as hindering the provision of humanitarian aid. It was mentioned that the investigation is ongoing, aiming to assess potential violations of international law.
