Armenian Passengers Stranded in Istanbul: Why is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Struggling?
Almost 150 passengers are stranded in Istanbul due to the suspension of direct flights to Yerevan. They were supposed to return to Armenia on the night of November 27, but as reported, "Atlas Global" has canceled all flights.
Armenians who purchased airplane tickets are complaining that ticket-selling companies did not notify them in advance about the flight cancellations. A special guideline for ticket returns or date changes for pre-purchased tickets will be posted on the company's website on December 16.
Auroranews has contacted the spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anna Naghdalyan. She stated that they are aware of the issue; however, they do not have a consulate in Turkey to connect with the citizens and offer assistance.
Citizens are urged that if they are stranded in Turkey due to the actions of "Atlas Global", to contact AuroraNews and leave their contact details so that we can relay this information to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
