The Powers of Judge Naira Grigoryan, Daughter of Manvel Grigoryan, Suspended Amid Criminal Proceedings

The Supreme Judicial Council has suspended the powers of Judge Naira Grigoryan of the first instance court of Armavir region. She is the daughter of General Manvel Grigoryan. This information has been published by the Supreme Judicial Council.

According to the announcement, the Prosecutor General submitted a request to the council to grant approval for initiating public criminal proceedings against Judge Naira Grigoryan. After reviewing the request, on November 7, 2025, the council made a decision in a closed session to approve it and suspend the judge's powers until the completion of the criminal proceedings.

Currently, it has not been disclosed under which criminal proceedings the pursuit is expected to take place. It is worth noting that a year ago, there were reports in the media about the detention of an assistant to Judge Naira Grigoryan in connection with a case of significant fraud. In November 2024, it was also reported that Grigoryan might be questioned in connection with the same case.
