How Long Will the High Temperature Last? Upcoming Weather Forecasts
The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' Hydromet service warns that due to the influx of tropical hot air currents from the Arabian deserts, on June 28, a significantly high temperature is expected across the entire territory of the republic. In the Ararat Valley and its foothills, the foothills of Vayots Dzor, the valley regions of Syunik, and Yerevan, daytime temperatures are anticipated to reach +38 to +39 degrees Celsius.
From June 27 to July 1, a high degree of fire danger is also expected in these areas. The intensity of ultraviolet radiation is forecasted to be above normal. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In the territory of the republic, from June 28 to 30, and July 1 to 2, brief rains and thunderstorms are expected in some regions in the afternoon. The wind will be south-western at a speed of 5-10 m/s. In the Ararat Valley and its nearby areas, wind intensification is expected in the evening, reaching 15-20 m/s.
The temperature during the day on June 29-30 is forecasted to gradually decrease by 3-5 degrees.
In Yerevan, on June 28, no precipitation is anticipated. On June 29-30 and in the evenings of July 1-2, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in certain areas of the city. Wind intensification is also expected in the evenings at a speed of 15-20 m/s.
The night temperature in the capital city on June 28 will be between 22-24 degrees, while during the daytime, it will reach +36 to +38 degrees.
