A Motion for the Release of Vardan Ghukasian from Custody Has Been Submitted to Court

A motion for the release of Vardan Ghukasian from custody has been submitted to court, reported his lawyer Aramayis Hayrapetyan.

“On October 29, 2025, the defense team received a decision from the investigating authority dated the same day, October 21, 2025, regarding the application of alternative measures of restraint, combined with a prohibition on leaving, and suspension from office for Vardan Ghukasian,” stated Ghukasian's other lawyer, Arnold Vardanyan.

It is worth mentioning that it was previously reported that the Mayor of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasian, had been transferred again to the ‘Yerevan-Center’ penitentiary.
