Armenia Must Decide Where It Is Better, Galuzin Says
It is impossible to be a member of both the EAEU and the EU at the same time, but Armenia must decide where it is better. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin to RIA Novosti.
“We are convinced that it is impossible to be simultaneously in two opposing associations like the EAEU and the European Union,” said Galuzin. He emphasized that the EAEU is an association of equal states, while the EU is a structure where “there is discipline imposed by Brussels bureaucrats based on outdated anti-Russian narratives.”
“Official Yerevan must decide where it will be better. We hope that all the benefits of EAEU membership and the scale of losses resulting from breaking relations with the EAEU will be explained to the Armenian society, so that the Armenian public has an objective understanding of reality,” the deputy minister noted.
Galuzin added that Armenia is a sovereign state that independently chooses its development vector.
