Vardan Ghukasyan's Health Condition Deteriorates Sharply, He Will Be Hospitalized, Lawyer Says

The Mayor of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasyan, will be hospitalized due to a sudden deterioration in his health, his lawyer Zarouhi Postanjyan has reported.

Emergency services were called by the staff of the correctional facility, and Ghukasyan has been transferred to the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Center.

It is noted that Vardan Ghukasyan has been in custody for two months. According to the Anti-Corruption Committee, the Mayor of Gyumri and the chief architect, acting in preliminary agreement, demanded and received a bribe.
