The Number of Armenia's Population Revealed

As of October 1, 2025, Armenia's permanent population has reached 3,090,500, according to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Of these, 1,977,400 reside in urban areas, while 1,113,100 live in rural areas.

The report indicates that in recent years there has been a continued concentration of the population in cities, whereas rural areas are experiencing a stable trend of decline. Experts attribute this to economic opportunities, labor migration, and the educational mobility of young people.

The Statistical Committee also noted that the natural growth rate remains low, impacting the demographic structure of the country.
