In the Near Future, Household Chores Will Be Managed by AI-Powered Robots, Says Arshakyan

The 10th Internet Governance Forum of Armenia (ArmIGF2025) was held in Yerevan, where issues related to the use of the internet and new technologies were discussed.

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Hakob Arshakyan noted that the internet has significantly changed daily life, simplifying various processes from purchasing tickets to means of communication. He stated that just as the internet transformed human life, we are now at a pivotal moment in the development of artificial intelligence.

“In the near future, we will witness that household tasks will be performed by robots equipped with artificial intelligence, allowing people to dedicate more time to education and creative work,” Arshakyan said.

He emphasized that technological changes expected in the coming decade will impact countries' economies, educational systems, and sovereignty. Under Arshakyan's initiative, the Armenian Innovation Foundation has been established to develop state programs for the advancement of science and technology.

According to Nerses Yeritsyan, Director of the Armenian Information Technologies Agency, the anniversary ArmIGF2025 has become a platform where private, academic, professional, and public sectors discuss issues of internet accessibility, security, and development.
