Aliyev on the Modernization of the Azerbaijani Army

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that the modernization process of the country's armed forces is ongoing and aims to enhance the military's combat readiness. He made this announcement during a meeting with a NATO delegation.

During the discussions, the parties addressed the current phase of cooperation between Azerbaijan and NATO and explored opportunities for its expansion. They also discussed regional security issues, as well as potential avenues for collaboration in the fields of military training and experience exchange.

The day before, around 40 NATO representatives participated in a training course in Azerbaijan titled "Assessment of Combat Readiness of Land Forces' Staffs, Units, and Subunits," during which the standards and methods of combat readiness for the armed forces were examined.
