Fire Erupts in Yerevan Due to Gas Leak; One Injured

On November 5, at 16:54, the National Crisis Management Center received a report about a fire that broke out in an apartment on the 7th floor of a building on Eghishe Tadevosyan Street in Yerevan.

Two firefighting units from the Yerevan Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with operational, medical support, and psychological assistance teams from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Division, arrived at the scene.

It was determined that there had been a gas leak from a gas cylinder in the balcony area, approximately 6 square meters in size, which caused the fire. Firefighters responded quickly and evacuated a citizen from the apartment who had been injured as a result of the incident. The individual was hospitalized.

The fire was contained by 17:16 and extinguished by 17:22. Household items were burned on the balcony.
