The Reason Behind Blogger Shmavon Atoyan's Murder in Davtashen Revealed

A 33-year-old blogger, Shmavon Atoyan, has been murdered in an incident that occurred in Davtashen. He was a member of the Civil Contract party's Davtashen territorial structure. According to ArmLur.am, the murder stemmed from an argument related to a girl. It has been reported that complaints directed at the young man created a tense situation, during which gunfire was exchanged, resulting in a fatal outcome.

Sources indicate that a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the criminal case launched following the incident. The investigation is ongoing, aiming to clarify all circumstances surrounding the murder. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has also commented on the incident. They reported that the incident took place on October 25, and the police issued a relevant statement regarding it.

On October 25, shortly after midnight, the Criminal Police received a report from the police operational management center regarding a dispute in the third neighborhood of Davtashen. An operational group was dispatched to the scene. While law enforcement was taking urgent measures, the Armenia Medical Center reported that Shmavon Atoyan, who had been admitted with a gunshot wound, had died without regaining consciousness. The main department of the Criminal Police has also joined in the investigative work.

At the scene, a fired 9 mm caliber cartridge was discovered. The documents related to the case have been sent to the investigative department of the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts. Through measures taken by Yerevan's criminal police, it was determined that the crime was committed by a 30-year-old resident of Gevorg Emin Street in the capital. He has since been arrested. The circumstances are being clarified, and a preliminary investigation is underway.
