The Armenian Government Will Not Discuss Any Corridor Logic: Pashinyan

The Armenian government has not discussed, is not discussing, and will not discuss any corridor logic, and we exclude any change in the status of any sovereign territory of Armenia in the context of opening communications. This was announced by Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the final pre-election rally of the ‘Civil Contract’ party at Republic Square.

Pashinyan stated, “The statements made by Azerbaijan and Turkey regarding obtaining a corridor through the territory of Armenia can hardly be called anything but absurd. We have expressed our position very clearly. The economic communications of the region must be unblocked, and in this sense, transit and communication channels should provide equal and balanced opportunities to the countries, as described in the statement of Moscow on January 11, 2021.”

According to him, Armenia is committed to steadily implementing the provisions of this statement, which would be a strategic achievement not only for Armenia but for the entire region, opening wide doors for peace, stability, and long-term development.
