The state budget of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia is proposed to be set at 420 billion 224 million drams. This was stated by the Minister of Finance Vahe Hovhannisyan during a joint meeting of the standing committees of the National Assembly on financial, credit and budgetary issues and on defense, science, education, culture, diaspora, youth and sports, regarding the preliminary discussion of the state budget for 2026.

“The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport is proposed to be allocated 420 billion 224 million drams, which is 57 billion 560 million drams more than last year. The education sector is one of the main sectors where we see a significant increase this year, by about 16 percent. There are almost increases in all directions, mainly in terms of school construction programs,” noted Hovhannisyan.

During the joint meeting of the permanent committees of the National Assembly, Hovhannisyan also presented the budget of several institutions. The Public Council's broadcaster is proposed to be allocated 8 billion 285 million drams, which is 88 million 905 thousand drams less than the budget for 2025. The Commission on Television and Radio is proposed to be allocated 374 million 380 thousand drams, which is 6 million 811 thousand less than in 2025.

The Prime Minister's Office is proposed to have 762 million drams allocated for diaspora programs, which is 82 million drams less than last year's allocation.
