Lukashenko Bans Entry of Polish and Lithuanian Trucks into Belarus

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree prohibiting the entry of trucks with Polish and Lithuanian license plates into the country. The decision applies to both import and transit routes.

The Belarusian government has announced that the restriction will come into force at the beginning of November and will affect both state and private carriers. According to official explanations, the ban has been implemented in response to restrictive measures imposed by Poland and Lithuania against Belarus.

Under the new regulations, freight transport to and from Poland and Lithuania can only be carried out by vehicles with Belarusian or Russian license plates. The Belarusian Ministry of Transport states that the decision aims to protect the country's economic interests and ensure equal conditions for local carriers.
