Cocaine Imported from Spain via Mail to Armenia
Employees of the State Revenue Committee's Department for Combating Smuggling, in collaboration with the Department of Electronic Commerce and Air Transport, conducted a customs inspection of two shipments imported from the Kingdom of Spain to Armenia via the Haypost LLC company.
During the inspection, polyethylene bags weighing 178 and 250 grams respectively, filled with cocaine, were discovered inside mattresses intended for animals.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in connection with the incident. The arrested individuals have been presented to the Main Investigation Department for Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee, where they have been detained under the provisions of Articles 393 and 399 of the Criminal Code of Armenia.
