No Sanctuary: Major Heist in Spain

A major heist has taken place at the Santa Cruz la Real Church in Granada, Spain, where 18 pieces of jewelry were stolen from the image of the Virgin Mary. This was reported by El Espanol newspaper, citing its sources.

The Brotherhood of Granada clarified that the stolen items were personal donations from parishioners. They also announced that the police, with whom the Brotherhood is actively cooperating, have already been informed of the incident. They state that the footage from the cameras will help clarify the details of the incident.

Security cameras captured two men, whose faces were uncovered, entering the church unrestricted, approaching the chapel, and stealing the jewelry. The statue itself remained unharmed. The National Police continue to examine evidence and footage in an effort to identify those responsible and hold them accountable.
