Russian Oil Production Volume Sharply Decreased After Ukrainian Strikes, Says Vasyl Maliuk
According to Vasyl Maliuk, the head of Ukraine's Security Service, in recent months, Ukrainian forces have carried out over 160 precision strikes aimed at oil refining plants and other strategic facilities within Russia. He reported that between September and October, several major oil facilities were damaged, leading to a reduction in Russia's oil production volume by approximately 90 percent, while the domestic fuel market has seen a shortage of more than 20 percent.
Maliuk added that since the beginning of 2025, approximately 40 percent of Russian 'Pantsir' air defense systems have been destroyed as a result of Ukrainian operations. He noted that Russia produces about 30 such systems annually, making it challenging to quickly recover from these losses.
He emphasized that Ukrainian operations continue to aim at decreasing Russia's military and economic capabilities.
