Belarus Brings New Nuclear Weapons from Russia, Lukashenko Says
Belarus has replaced its nuclear weapons stationed on its territory and brought in new ones from Russia. This was announced by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, as reported by Belta.
“They (our foreign adversaries) are arming themselves. 6% of the GDP amounts to billions of dollars. If you are buying weapons, you are not doing it just to hang them on the wall. Even if you hang them on the wall, they fire once a year. They are probably buying weapons from all over the world for some reasons. And then they scream, ‘Why did Lukashenko import nuclear weapons? Why is Lukashenko planning to deploy the “Oreshnik”?’, ” he noted.
“What should I do? Should I sit and wait, like in 1941, for them to come here, rape our women, and kill our children? I do not want that,” emphasized the Belarusian leader. “That is why I say, ‘Guys, nuclear weapons are a terrible thing.’”
“We have again replaced our nuclear weapons. We took them to Russia and brought back the most modern ones. They are being refurbished. Their maintenance is expensive. The Russians are helping. We have brought them back. We are training to learn how to use them. Both the planes and the missiles. We are not hiding that either,” Lukashenko stated.
