It is worth noting that neither the incumbent president Jair Bolsonaro nor the former leader Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva secured more than half of the votes in the presidential elections. This was announced on Monday, October 3, by Brazil's Supreme Electoral Court. Both candidates have advanced to the second round of elections, which will take place on October 30.
