The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that there are currently two key issues on the daily agenda of the authorities. According to sources from the ruling party, the topics discussed at the recent meeting with the newly elected members of the CPP executive were precisely these two questions.

Firstly, they addressed issues related to the 2026 parliamentary elections, which focused on the CPP's campaign headquarters. During the previous meeting, the executive selected Arayik Harutyunyan, the head of the Prime Minister's staff, as the head of the campaign office, while Vahagn Aleksanyan was chosen as the responsible person for the campaign. They are now trying to determine who should be members of the campaign headquarters.

The second issue discussed was the topic that has become a primary concern for CPP members and especially for Nikol Pashinyan: the removal of the Catholicos. Pashinyan mentioned during the discussion that he is receiving positive signals from the public and there will be significant consolidation on this matter in the near future. According to representatives of the authorities, the people from Echmiadzin will also support them in this regard, and they are planning to remove the Catholicos without rushing and by increasing pressure.
