Fatal Accident Involving Freight Train and Car on Spitak-Arjut Route

On October 30, a collision occurred between a freight train from South Caucasus Railways and a car on the Spitak-Arjut route, resulting in one fatality.

The incident took place at an uncontrolled railway crossing when the car driver, disregarding traffic signs and warning signals from the locomotive, entered the railway track area and came in front of the train. The train crew took all necessary measures to avoid the collision, but the sound signals and emergency braking could not prevent the tragic incident.
