Video: Powerful Storm and Hail in Smolensk Region Leaves 12,000 Residents without Electricity

A powerful storm has left approximately 12,000 residents in Russia's Smolensk region without electricity. Vasily Anokhin, the acting head of the region, reported via his Telegram channel that 47 teams are involved in restoring power.

An operational consultation regarding the aftermath of the storm has been held. Currently, 281 transformer substations have been disconnected, leaving 12,000 individuals without power. Smolensk power workers have already begun to address the storm's consequences, Anokhin noted.

He clarified that 47 crews, consisting of 160 personnel, are engaged in restoring electricity supply, supported by 59 units of equipment. Furthermore, authorities have prepared 40 mobile generators for use in social institutions.

It has been emphasized that efforts will continue until the complete elimination of the consequences of the disaster.
