Trump Grants Israel Authority to Strike Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump has granted Israel the authority to respond with strikes on Gaza. This was reported by NBC News.

“The Israelis are responding, and they have to respond when necessary,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One flying from Japan to South Korea. The White House president does not believe that the ceasefire is in jeopardy, referring to Hamas as “a very small part of peace in the Middle East.”

“Hamas has said that they will behave well, and if they do, I will be very happy,” the American leader noted. Otherwise, the group will be destroyed, Trump warned.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered new strikes on Gaza yesterday after consultations with military officials, in response to multiple ceasefire violations by Hamas. The group denies the allegations.
