Universal Cashback System to Be Introduced for Cashless Purchases, Says Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that citizens will receive a percentage of their purchases back as cashback when making cashless payments. The Armenian government plans to implement a universal cashback system that will allow citizens to get back a certain percentage of the money spent on cashless purchases.
This initiative, according to Pashinyan, aims to promote the development of a cashless economy, enhance tax compliance, and ensure the transparency of financial flows.
The cashback system will be implemented through a state platform and will serve as an additional incentive for citizens to prefer cashless transactions in the retail and service sectors.
