Trial of Artsakh Leaders Continues in Baku
The trial of the former military-political leaders of Artsakh and several captives continued today in Baku. During the session, witnesses again raised allegations of torture and inhumane treatment, emphasizing that their testimonies were given under duress.
According to news sources, the trial also examined the case of Araik Harutyunyan, in which the Azerbaijani prosecutor's office attempted to investigate the topic of passports from Nagorno-Karabakh marked with the '070' code. These documents allowed residents of Nagorno-Karabakh to participate in elections in Armenia and travel abroad as citizens of the Republic of Armenia.
The judicial process remains in the spotlight of international organizations, which have repeatedly called for the protection of the rights of captives and former officials.
The next session is scheduled for October 30.
