Armenia Not Ready to Negotiate on Azerbaijan's Conditions, Mirzoyan
The Armenian Foreign Minister stated that Armenia is ready to immediately start consultations without accepting Azerbaijan's proposed conditions.
There is still no agreed month, date, or place for the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was announced by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a conversation with journalists.
"We have stated that we are ready to start consultations with the Azerbaijani side as soon as possible regarding the location and timing of the treaty's signing. However, there is no fixed agreement at this moment," said Mirzoyan.
The minister emphasized that the Armenian side does not accept the conditions set by Azerbaijan: "It is no secret the Azerbaijani side's interpretation and the associated condition. We do not accept this and do not consider it a negotiable agenda."
Mirzoyan expressed hope that the process would continue in a constructive manner soon and that it would be possible to reach a signing of the document. According to him, there are still many working directions available, ranging from border delimitation to humanitarian issues and the return of captives.
