Albania's AI Minister Diella 'Expecting' 83 Digital Assistants

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that the country's artificial intelligence-based finance minister, Diella, is 'expecting' 83 digital 'children,' one for each member of parliament.

Rama shared this unusual news, revealing that Diella's 'children' will be 83 digital assistants that will serve the parliament's lawmakers. Each digital system will inherit the knowledge of its 'mother,' Diella, and will assist parliamentarians in their work by monitoring sessions and analyzing discussions.

The initiative aims to enhance the efficiency of public administration and oversee potential risks. Diella, commenting on the innovative idea, emphasized that her mission is not to replace humans but to support them. She noted that artificial intelligence can proactively identify corruption risks, predict economic changes, and open new markets.

Albania has become the first country in the world to officially incorporate artificial intelligence into its government structure. Diella oversees the public procurement system, the e-Albania platform, and programs for engaging international experts.
