Aliyev Threatens to Break Diplomatic Ties with Countries Recognizing Artsakh's Independence

Ilham Aliyev has threatened to immediately sever diplomatic ties with countries that recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh. According to Azerbaijani media, he made this statement in an interview with Haberturk television.

In the interview, the President of Azerbaijan expressed the opinion that it is necessary to prepare the Azerbaijani and Armenian peoples for a post-conflict coexistence in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Aliyev also addressed discussions regarding the possible deployment of peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, stating that this could only be arranged with the agreement of both Armenia and Azerbaijan.
