Pakistan Ready to Start 'Open War' with Afghanistan

Pakistan is ready to initiate an 'open war' with Afghanistan if the parties fail to reach an agreement in the ongoing negotiations in Istanbul. This was stated by the country’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif.

According to him, Islamabad still hopes for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and sees a similar desire from Kabul.

The negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Istanbul began on October 25, with the aim of developing a mechanism that would allow for a long-term ceasefire.
