Weather Forecast for November-December-January Revealed
The Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center has presented the global forecasts from the World Meteorological Organization for November, December, and January of 2025-2026.
The seasonal forecasting global models indicate that above-normal temperatures are expected in the Northern Hemisphere during November-December-January of 2025-2026. Particularly high probabilities of above-normal temperatures are expected in the southern and northeastern regions of North America, Central America, the Caribbean basin, and the Arctic regions. In the Southern Hemisphere, above-normal temperatures are expected in New Zealand and the southern regions of South America.
The precipitation forecast for November-December-January 2025-2026 is related to the strengthening of the surface temperature gradient in the equatorial region of the Pacific Ocean. Along the equator, from 160° west longitude to the shores of South America, near-normal precipitation is anticipated.
Below-normal precipitation is predicted in Southern Europe, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, the coastal regions of East Asia, areas near the Gulf of Guinea, the Greater Horn of Africa, and the western section of the Indian Ocean, as well as in northeastern Brazil and the southern regions of North America.
The likelihood of above-normal precipitation is high in India, northern Russia, Southeast Asia, the vicinity of the Philippines, Eastern Australia, and northern regions of North America,” the statement reads.
