Discussion on Limiting Duration of Drivers' Stay in Russia at EAEU Council Meeting

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated via video link in the latest meeting of the Eurasian Economic Council, where more than ten issues were on the agenda. During the session, the topic of limiting the duration of stay for drivers from Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan in the Russian Federation was also discussed.

During the discussions, the Russian side indicated that it understands the urgency of the issue and is working towards a solution. It was also mentioned that a draft legal act regarding amendments to the existing law is currently being circulated among the relevant authorities in the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that at the Armenian-Georgian border points in Bagratashen, Gogavan, and Bavra, truck drivers have blocked the roads in both directions, protesting against the 90-day limitation on migrants' stay in Russia.
