Why Azerbaijani Soldiers Were Handed Back to Azerbaijan So Quickly. Abrahamyan
According to the official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense, on January 30, two Azerbaijani soldiers who were detained by the NSS of Armenia in the territory of Tegh village in Syunik region were handed over to Azerbaijan today through Russian mediation.
Tigran Abrahamyan, head of the Analytic Center 'Henakert' and former advisor on security issues to the President of Artsakh, commented on this information published on the Russian Ministry of Defense's website.
“The Russian Ministry of Defense also reports that 16 patients (Azerbaijanis) have been transferred from Vank village to the Azerbaijani side. A simple question arises: why do we learn about this from the official website of the Ministry of Defense? Secondly, in what circumstances did the two Azerbaijani soldiers end up in the vicinity of Tegh village and then get detained? Thirdly, why were these Azerbaijani soldiers handed over to Azerbaijan so quickly when the process of returning our captives and prisoners of war is progressing quite slowly? Fourthly, regarding the 16 sick Azerbaijanis, when did they find themselves in Vank village and why were they handed over to Azerbaijan? Fifthly, why haven’t the relevant Armenian authorities provided the necessary information? Can we assume that the authorities have reasons to conceal or hide information from the public? Undoubtedly,” stated Abrahamyan.
