Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the National Assembly from the 'Civil Contract' faction, commented on the imprisonment of Masis community leader Davit Hambardzumyan on his Facebook page. He reposted a video and wrote: ‘Davit Hambardzumyan, the ringleader of the gang that assaulted protesting students in 2018, has been sentenced to 6 years in prison. He was the joint candidate for Prime Minister from Serzh and Roben.’

It is noteworthy that on October 23, the criminal court of Yerevan announced its decision sentencing Davit Hambardzumyan to 6 years and 3 months in prison. He is accused of committing hooliganism with the use of a firearm at the intersection of the villages of Hayrastan and Hovtashat on April 22, 2018.
