Armenia and India Sign 2026 Defense Cooperation Program
Today, defense consultations between Armenia and India took place in Hyderabad, India, in the format of a joint working group established last year to address bilateral defense cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the consultations were led by Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, and Vishvesh Negin, Joint Secretary for International Cooperation of the Indian Ministry of Defense. Also present at the discussions was Vahagn Afyan, Armenia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India.
The parties exchanged views on regional and international security issues. They informed each other about recent developments in the armed forces of both countries.
At the conclusion of the event, the cooperation program for 2026 between the Ministries of Defense of Armenia and India was signed, which includes several activities such as high-level and expert reciprocal visits, military education, military-technical cooperation, combat preparedness and exercises, experience exchanges, and several other areas.
It was agreed that the next meeting will be held in the Republic of Armenia.
