Serj Tankian on Aliyev: Power Taken from His Father and Now His Wife is Vice President

World-renowned musician of Armenian descent, Serj Tankian, has addressed Azerbaijan and its president, Ilham Aliyev, on his Instagram page. He posted a picture of Aliyev and wrote:

"This is Ilham Aliyev. He is the oligarchic president of Azerbaijan. He took power from his father and has now made his wife the vice president. Azerbaijan is everything but a democracy. We will never see peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan as long as Azerbaijanis lack capable leadership and the freedom of speech to determine their own fate. It is time for a peaceful revolution in Azerbaijan, like the one that occurred in Armenia in 2018, so they can have reasonable leadership and, I hope, peace as well."
