Another attempt to pass the US government budget in the Senate has failed due to the Democrats, according to a statement by the Republican Party. This was reported by the ‘RIA Novosti’ news outlet.

“The Democrats voted for the 11th time in favor of the government shutdown, citing health insurance for illegal immigrants,” the press service reported on social media.

According to the voting results in the upper chamber, the budget proposal did not receive the required 60 votes. It is worth noting that the Republicans control both chambers of Congress but hold 53 seats in the Senate.
